Abigail is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BA in Business Communications
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Abigail took her first job out of college to work for Donald R. Kenney. It was there at DRK, she learned strategic business practices, leadership skills and project management. Under the umbrella of DRK, Abigail was hired by Donald R. Kenney personally, to help start the deregulated utility company, Capital Energy as their second employee. During the 4 years she worked at Capital.Energy, she directly contributed to the growth of the company, which grew to make $100+ million dollars and earned the business first Fast50 Award, placing 7th out of 50 of Columbus’ fastest growing companies.

Throughout the life-cycle of the startup, Abigail wore many hats, such as Marketing Director, Customer Support Manager, and Commercial Accounts Manager. As one of their top sales agent, Abigail solidified the largest contract in company history as well as many partnerships with large real estate firms throughout Columbus.
Abigail has helped and met with some of the top real estate developers in Columbus, Ohio. While working for DRK, she solidified relationships with Oakwood Property Management, Crawford and Hoying, Ardent Communities, Kinsale Golf + Fitness, Scioto Reserve, Preferred Living and more.
Abigail started her first real estate venture at 21 while working for DRK, buying her first home in Worthington, Ohio. It was at that home where she “house-hacked” and had two friends live with her, paying rent. Fixing up the house herself, she had an interest sparked in real estate and decided to become an investor. After passively investing for a year, Abigail started investing in her own rentals, pulling out equity from her own house with a HELOC, then learning the BRRR method, pulling out equity to continuously purchase her next investments. By 2022, Abigail currently has 27 rental units, all self-managed by utilizing assistants and platforms to automate her rental business, R. Emmett Holdings.
After leaving DRK, Abigail was hired to help build DF Premier Homes. Once again, wearing many hats, she developed the marketing system, CRM, social media, website, and sales processes to scale the local investment firm from 1 employee to 10, 12 flips a year to 60 and the assignment fees surpassing over 1 million dollars in a year.
In 2020, Abigail left DF Premier Homes to grow her own business. Quickly she realized her talent at selling off-market real estate and utilizing friendships and relationships she had built over the years in the real estate industry. She created a niche by selling off-market investments to her most trusted clients and built a track record for ensuring her clients would show up to the closing table. It was there she created E. Laine Properties (her middle name being Elaine).

I started my real estate career at 21 years old, it first started off as a side project to create passive income while maintaining my 9-5 corporate job. Now 8 years later, I am full time self-employed, a licensed agent in the state of Ohio, proficient in investment real estate, long term rentals, development, multi family assets, short term rentals and residential real estate.
